For a lot of people, the term “rock bottom” is every bad day they’ve ever had, but for some of us, rock bottom is when we finally lose it all. And for others, it’s that point where we just say “enough is enough! Never again!”
People look at me now and they see the nice house and hear about how I was able to retire my mom when she got sick, or they see how I stayed and worked from home for the past 5 or 6 years.
But they don’t know that my “rock bottom” was a few years ago when we had a house fire and lost everything. Some days I listen to people complain about their life and I kinda laugh.
I know it seems insensitive, but I do. Most of those people that complain about their life? I can’t help but take a look at where they live, who they have in their life, the car they’re driving, and all of the abundance in their life and look back to the year after our house fire.
My first job was a farm hand, loading hay into semi trucks and cleaning out pig stys, and my dad worked with me. At the time there just wasn’t any work available, and my mom worked at the factory.
We lived in a plywood shack we built ourselves and there were days that we were only able to eat because the local church would come by and deliver groceries.
And to be honest I tend to laugh at complainers who say their life sucks when they are surrounded by abundance, but don’t even see it. I guess it’s one of those things where you don’t realize what you have until you lose it.
But you know what? We made it! We dug deep and said “enough is enough” and dug deep, took massive action and got out! We did what we had to do to get out and we accepted no outcome but success…
Rock bottom is no place to be, so what do you do when you reach it?
What’s your Rock Bottom?
I want to introduce you to a friend of mine who went through and equally harrowing experience. I want you to listen to his story, and more importantly the mind set that it took to go from a negative bank account and 485 credit score to a six figure income.
But even more than listen, take massive action!
It’s only a few minutes long, but it’s a powerful true story.
