IRS Also Targeted Liberals (Video)
Remember the scandal from a few weeks ago where the republican party and many conservative groups went on a rampage about the IRS unfairly targeting groups with conservative names like ‘teaparty’ and others?
Heads rolled, jobs were lost, new staff was appointed, oversight was in demand, and now it turns out that once again we didn’t know the whole story.
It broke earlier that the IRS also targeted liberal groups, rather groups with liberal names filing for tax exempt status, and it turns out that the Steven Miller, before he resigned was telling the truth, that the IRS did not fairly target any one group – we just didn’t know the entire story.
It turns out the IRS is an equal opportunity screener, also targeting liberal groups.
In other words, the IRS was doing it’s job and screening everyone filing for tax exempt status on both sides of the line to make sure that not just anyone can claim tax exempt status and get away with it.
So…
Why did the inspector general of the IRS not also say that groups with liberal names were also targeted?
And what about Steven Miller resigning? Is he going to get his job back?
