Most Crimes With Assault Weapons Are Committed By The US Government
But is it true?
Are Most Crimes With Assault Weapons Really Committed By The US Government?
I’m writing this article wiki-style with references at the end, but it’s something that I wanted to discuss.
I say it only seems that way because that’s all that people talk about or what’s on the news, and here’s why I say that.
The last count of total gun deaths we have in the US is for 2013. They’re still trying to tally 2014.
You know how many people cops killed in 2013? (And this includes all deaths including tasers, guns, etc). 320 people [1].
Just looking at guns… You know how many gun deaths there were in 2013? 11,419 [2]. Which means that ALL deaths caused by police is 2.8 percent of JUST gun-related deaths in this country in 2013.
People want to talk about cops? What about the other 97.2 percent of people killing each other with guns?
Even though they’re still counting, most people agree with the CDC’s numbers. According to them, there were 32,351 [3] gun-related deaths in the country.
If 1200 are cops, it’s 3.7% – what about the other 96.2% of people killing each other with guns?
There are some dirty cops out there, but here’s the truth. The United States is a gun-crazed nation and the men and women that police it has no choice but to militarize in order to keep up.
QUESTION: When did the police become militarized?
ANSWER: When the civilians they have to police every day did.
Did you know that this year, gun deaths will SURPASS traffic deaths? [4]
Or that before the recent surge i 2014, (a 56% increase in cops being killed [6]), 2013 was the lowest number of cops killed since 1887? [5]
People like the skew the numbers…
For example, occupy will march behind, “One black man being killed by cops every 28 hours” [7], but if we stop and do the math?
The Brady Reports show that every day in the U.S., an average of 289 people are shot. Eighty-six of them die: 30 are murdered, 53 kill themselves, two die accidentally, and one is shot in a police intervention, the Brady Campaign reports.
The problem isn’t cops, it’s not government…
It’s people. Human beings walking around, wrapped in selfishness, acting like rights only apply to them, quick to point out the stink on others and acting like their s*** don’t stink.
And the majority of them want to go to church, act all holy and enlightened.
You know, this whole new age movement that tells people they are gods? If that’s true, then being gods we’re the most cruel of them all, but we wouldn’t need worshippers – we worship ourselves.
Steve Turner, at the end of one of his poems closed with this.
“If chance be the Father of all flesh,
Disaster is his rainbow in the sky,
And when you hear
State of Emergency!
Sniper Kills Ten!
Troops on Rampage!
Whites go Looting!
Bomb Blasts School!
It is but the sound of man worshiping his maker.”
In a world that pushes forward science and and stiffles faith… how true is that?
